About Entebbe Junior School
Entebbe Junior Cambridge is often referred to as Entebbe Junior School. It is a well-established private school in Entebbe, Uganda, known for offering both local and international curricula. The school emphasizes creating a happy and secure environment where children can learn and grow.
They believe in engaging children in practical, real-life activities, such as ballet dance, and fostering strong relationships with parents and the broader community. And that is how Leotard Ballet and Entebbe Junior school connected to empower children with a holistic dance curriculum.

How the Entebbe Junior Ballet Journey Started
Entebbe Junior Cambridge International School has always stood out for its academic excellence — but in 2023, they added something truly magical. And that is Leotard ballet in-school sessions. We were introduced to the school by Ms. Prossy, the esteemed school principal and a fellow member of Watoto Church, Entebbe.
Today, ballet is not just a class at Entebbe Junior School Cambridge. It is part of the school identity. Our approach to introducing ballet at Entebbe Junior was rooted in gentle parenting tactics. We believe in fostering a nurturing and encouraging environment where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and build confidence through movement.

What We Have Achieved
When Leotard Ballet Uganda partnered with Entebbe Junior School Cambridge, we introduced weekly ballet training sessions that quickly blossomed into a full-on cultural movement within the school walls. From curious first-timers to passionate young dancers, students began learning the language of movement, posture, and discipline.
The school experienced a visible shift in how students carry themselves, work together, and express emotions, among many other promising results:
1. Physical Literacy: Improved coordination, balance, flexibility, and core strength, laying a strong foundation for overall physical well-being.
2. Creativity & Imagination: Enhanced creative thinking through storytelling and expressive movement.
3. Social Skills: Better teamwork, respect, and collaboration through group classes.
4. Confidence & Self-Expression: Increased self-esteem as pupils master new steps and confidently express emotions and stories through dance.
5. Discipline & Focus: Teachers noticed better focus in class, improved confidence, and a surprising love for the arts from even the shyest learners.
6. Musicality & Rhythm Awareness: Students have become more attuned to music, understanding rhythm and timing through movement.
7. Cultural Appreciation: Exposure to ballet has introduced children to a rich artistic tradition, broadening their cultural understanding and love for the arts.
