About Shekinah International
Shekinah International School (SIS) in Entebbe, Uganda, is a Christian, multi-cultural school focused on providing a broad, balanced, and stimulating curriculum. The school provides an education that focuses on the individual development of each child, appreciating their uniqueness.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate a five-year ballet partnership with Shekinah International School Entebbe, a collaboration that began with a shared vision for enriching the lives of young learners through the art of ballet dance.
How our Shekinah Ballet Journey Started
Shekinah needed a ballet teacher, as their previous instructor had moved on to new endeavors. This serendipitous connection opened the door for Leotard Ballet to offer our unique approach to ballet education. Thanks to the proactive spirit of Ms. Lwandde Jackie, the school’s director, who personally visited our studio classes in 2021, taking the time to observe our teaching methods and understand our philosophy.
For five wonderful years now, we have had the privilege of working with the vibrant young minds at Shekinah International School Entebbe, primarily focusing on students from Kindergarten all the way to Year 3. It has been a joy to witness their growth, not just in their ballet skills, but also in their confidence, coordination, and ability to express themselves.
What We Have Achieved
Through the years, we’ve celebrated their progress with memorable performances that showcase their dedication and the magic of ballet. It has been a source of immense pride and joy. We’ve seen firsthand how ballet can enrich the lives of young children, fostering not just physical prowess but also creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love for the arts.
